Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery | Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC)

Dr. Krishna G. Patel is the Director of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Co-Director of the Craniofacial Team at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). She is double board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Dr. Patel specializes in aesthetic facial surgery, complex reconstructive procedures, and pediatric craniofacial anomalies. Her dedicated work includes international humanitarian missions providing surgical care for cleft lip, cleft palate, and congenital ear deformities. She also serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the American Board of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.

Dr. Gene Liu is a nationally recognized pediatric otolaryngologist currently in private practice following a distinguished academic tenure as Director of Academic Otolaryngology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He currently serves as Chair of the Pediatric Otolaryngology Committee for the AAO-HNS and holds board and leadership roles with SENTAC and the Los Angeles Pediatric Society. An editor for the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology, Dr. Liu is an internationally invited speaker on office-based pediatric procedures, including awake ear tube placement. He earned his M.D. with distinction from George Washington University, completed his residency at the University of Colorado, and holds a Master of Medical Management from USC.
